Stonewall Mill

Only a few bends downriver from Old Rush's Mill was Stonewall Mill which somehow survived the Civil War.
"During the Civil War, General Sheridan burned mills in the valley but this mill was passed by."

After Dr. J I Triplett built a larger flour mill in downtown Woodstock, Stonewall Mill was retrofitted as a hydroelectric site.
"When he built the flour mill in Woodstock, Triplett discontinued his milling operation at Stonewall and converted that mill into a hydro-electric plant also."

In 1930, after Dr. J I Triplett's death, Stonewall Mill was left as an endowment to a local business school.
